Understanding your SEE GPA

The Secondary Education Examination (SEE), Nepal's Grade 10 board exam, has graded students on a 4.0-point GPA scale (with letter grades from A+ down to E) since replacing the old Division/percentage system. Since many +2 college admissions, scholarship applications, and older forms still ask for a percentage, this tool converts your SEE GPA to an estimated equivalent using two common approaches: a simple ×25 multiplier, or a grade-band range matching official letter-grade percentage bands.

SEE grading scale

  • A+ (90-100%): GPA 3.6 - 4.0 — Outstanding
  • A (80-89%): GPA 3.2 - 3.6 — Excellent
  • B+ (70-79%): GPA 2.8 - 3.2 — Very Good
  • B (60-69%): GPA 2.4 - 2.8 — Good
