This calculator covers the three percentage calculations people search for most often:

X% of Y

Formula: (X ÷ 100) × Y. Example: 20% of 150 = (20 ÷ 100) × 150 = 30.

Percentage increase

To increase A by B%: A + (A × B ÷ 100). Example: increasing 500 by 15% gives 500 + 75 = 575. Useful for markups, salary raises, or price hikes.

Percentage decrease

To decrease A by B%: A − (A × B ÷ 100). Example: a 20% discount on Rs. 2,000 brings the price to Rs. 1,600. Useful for discounts, depreciation, and tax deductions.
